For minds that won’t quiet down.

When you’re tired of being hard on yourself. When life feels like a lot.

A friendly definition

What is mindful self-compassion?

  1. Mindfulness

Noticing what’s actually happening — in your body, your mind, the moment you’re in — without rushing to fix it or look away.

  2. Self-compassion

The same kindness you’d offer a struggling friend — turned toward yourself.

  3. Together

Mindfulness on its own can feel cold. Self-compassion brings the warmth. A softer, warmer, friendlier way to practise.

Who I am

A fellow traveller,
not a serene guru.

I’m Connie. I’m a mindfulness and self-compassion teacher — and someone who gets nervous and anxious, a lot.

I came to this through the science first, when I was a research scientist. Then through some hard years — an earthquake in Japan, chronic pain in the Middle East, losing my mum. It really did help. Now I teach it, especially to people who think they should be coping better than they are.

What people take home

A quieter mind. Kinder self-talk. The ability to be with a hard moment without being swallowed by it.

Energised, nourished, connected. The resource to meet the world fully, no matter what comes along.”

Everyone’s welcome

No longer
a minority.

If you’ve walked into a Western mindfulness room and felt the slow work of translating yourself — you’re the person I most want to teach.

And — the door is open to everyone.

Dear friend,

I’ll write when the next circle opens, or when there’s a short audio worth your morning. Nothing else.
